Drugstore Finds!!!

Recently, I found a lot of great makeup products at local drugstores and would love to share my favorites.  These are all great alternatives for a fraction of the price.

The first products I tried and would recommend are two different foundations.  I have been using Maybelline Super Stay Foundation on and off for about a year and forgot how much I love it.  It has great coverage without being too heavy and doesn’t clog my pores.  I apply it with my Beauty Blender, which is the only thing I ever recommend when applying foundation.  This foundation gives me a pretty glow and evens out my skin tone.  It runs at about $10 and can last me about 3 months, but I also wear makeup daily.  Also, I don’t have to use as much when I apply a primer first and use my Beauty Blender.

The other foundation I tried was Rimmel London Stay Matte.  This is more like a liquid mousse and lasted all day.  It is great because it keeps your face from being shiny and really does give you a soft matte look.  My only suggestion is to make sure you exfoliate before you use it.  I have dry skin sometimes and it can build around dry spots.  This product was $5 at Walgreens and would be great for anyone with oily skin, but I also really liked it.  Also, my favorite drug store primer is Baby Skin Pore Eraser by Maybelline.

The next product I tried was mascara.  I usually use Maybelline Volume Falsies Mascara when I do buy drugstore, but I’ve heard a lot about L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara and decided to try it out.  To be honest, I hated the wand at first, but it really is a great mascara.  The wand is like a little comb, which is great at separating your lashes.  It lengthens your lashes and it comes in Carbon Black, which helps intensify your look.  I got it for about $8.  Definitely recommend this mascara even though I hated the comb-y wand.

I also tried Revlon Photoready Skinlights for a highlighter to give me a little glow.  After I finished applying my makeup, I dabbed this product along my outer cheekbones.  It really gave a pretty glow and I used Bare Light and Peach Light.  You could even mix this in with your foundation to give an all over glow.  I grabbed these for about $12 each and they will seriously last forever because you don’t need very much at all.
