blackened shrimp tacos

Blackened Shrimp Tacos

This recipe is so easy!  It doesn’t take very long and tastes delicious.

What you need:

  • 1 lb. Medium Shrimp (I use fresh, but you could also use frozen.)
  • Shredded Lettuce
  • Tortillas
  • Pico De Gallo
  • Sour Cream
  • Avocado
  • 2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. Oregeno
  • 1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh sliced lime

Add spices to a zip lock bag with shrimp and shake well.  Once shrimp are coated thoroughly, remove shrimp.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil with desired garlic.  Cook each side of shrimp for about 2 1/2 minutes, or until done.

Using a large frying pan, heat each tortilla 1 minute per side.

Add shrimp to tortilla.  Add desired lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and avocado.  Squeeze lime over tortilla and enjoy.

*This would also be great paired with black beans and rice.
